In a world that often feels loud, overwhelming, and disconnected, finding a space where you can truly exhaleāwhere your whole being is not just accepted but celebratedāis rare. But if youāve ever danced barefoot under the stars at Stargaze Festival, shared laughter around a fire, cried during a sunrise yoga session, or met someone who just got you without words, then youāve felt it:
That something sacred.
That freedom.
That belonging.
Thatās the energy Beth McGurr was born to create.

š The Visionary Behind It All
Beth McGurr is more than the founder of Stargaze. Sheās the vision keeper, the connector, the one-woman powerhouse who dared to ask, āWhat if we created a space where queer women, non-binary, and trans people could come togetherānot just to party, but to feel whole?ā
With a deep love for nightlife and queer joy, Beth first began creating inclusive spaces through her work with Lesbian Night Life, which has produced beloved events like Bostonās monthly Teadances, Pride parties, and Memday Ptown weekend. But she knew there was something deeper calling. A kind of freedom and magic that couldnāt be confined to four walls or city limits.
That dream?
It became Stargazeāa weekend-long festival held in the wild woods of Massachusetts where everything is possible.

š² From Spark to Stardust: How Stargaze Was Born
Stargaze didnāt emerge from a desire to throw just another LGBTQIA+ event. It was born from Bethās lived experienceāfrom years of navigating queer spaces that were beautiful but often incomplete. Too loud for connection. Too performative for presence. Too focused on being seen and not enough on being felt.
She wanted more for our community. More than just nightlife. More than just rainbow flags and bar crawls. She wanted a village. A sanctuary. A movement.
So she scouted land, built relationships, gathered a team of artists, healers, musicians, and buildersāand carved out something that didnāt exist yet. A place that feels like coming home for those whoāve never quite fit in anywhere else.

š¶ A Festival Unlike Any Other
What Beth created is not just a festival. Itās a living, breathing, co-created experience. Think:
Silent discos under moonlight
Yoga on the lake with strangers who become family
Drag brunches that leave your cheeks sore from laughing
Late-night bonfires filled with honest conversation and sacred vulnerability
Wellness workshops, nature hikes, creative art zones, and curated spaces to rest, play, and reconnect with yourself
But most importantly? Stargaze is a space where no part of you needs to be hidden.
There is no one way to Stargazeābecause Beth designed it as a choose-your-own-adventure. You can come to dance, cry, rest, kiss, sing, journal, make art, or simply watch the sun rise with a newfound friend. All of you is welcome here.
ā Queer Leadership with a Purpose
Bethās leadership is grounded in more than logisticsāitās grounded in liberation. She holds space not just as an event producer, but as someone who deeply understands what it means to long for a safe place to land. She doesnāt just rent a venue and hire a DJāshe curates an ecosystem of care.
She listens. She adapts. She collaborates. She evolves.
Under Bethās guidance, Stargaze has become a sanctuary for the queer soulāespecially for those who have felt unsafe, unseen, or unworthy in other parts of their lives.
Thereās a reason people call it life-changing.
Thereās a reason love stories are born here.
Thereās a reason people cry when they leave.
And that reason is Beth.

š A Legacy of Light
Beth doesnāt like the spotlight much. Sheās not one to shout her name or take the stage for applause. But her fingerprints are everywhereāon every lantern lit with intention, every art installation built with love, every volunteer welcomed with gratitude, and every human who leaves Stargaze with a fuller heart.
She has built something thatās bigger than all of usāand yet, somehow, made it feel deeply personal for each of us.
Because thatās what a true leader does.
They remind us of who we areāand what weāre capable of creating together.

š« Ready to Stargaze?
If youāve never been to Stargaze, let this be your sign. Come see what Beth has created. Come meet your people. Come find the parts of yourself that long to be expressed.
Whether you dance all night or meditate at sunrise, youāre part of this community the moment you arrive.
We canāt wait to welcome you. And when you see Beth, give her a hug or a high five. Thank her for making a dream big enough for all of us.
