THERE ARE 1000 WAYS TO HELP
Stargaze is complex creature with many moving parts. While it is a community-based event, it has a small core of people who work full time on it. We rely on the help of many volunteers to help make this weekend a success. "Helping out" is a big part of participating. We can break it down in to 3 categories, what we need now, what we need before Stargaze, and what we need after Stargaze. Please contact us at BETH if you can help with any of the following.
IF YOU HAVE A SPECIAL SKILL WE COULD USE YOUR HELP.
WIX Website knowledge
Social Media Expert
Join the planning committee and take on a few small task to help us plan for the big day.
We have a New members zoom meeting most Mondays at 7pm (Join US)
Please let us know If you are able to donate any of the following
Plastic Water bottle
(we need a lot for art installations)
If you have any paint around your house that you would like to get rid of, we would be happy to take it off your hands. We need all types of paint and all colors.
We need all kinds of supplies including paintbrushes, rollers, tarps bungee cords, rope etc.
This is a good time to clean out your garage and donate all your extra stuff to us.
Because you can never have enough tools.
We are happy to take all those old (working) Christmas lights, solar lights, flash lights,
and pretty much any light that plugs in, takes batteries or works on solar ;)
We build everything ourselves so we typically need wood especially plywood and 2x4's so if you have any extra wood laying around let us know. We can come pick it up from you.
Believe it or not we use a lot of rope/twine/ bungees and we always need more.
We love to show off local artist at stargaze. If you would like to build a sculpture for the event or show off some of your current work please let us know.
If you have cool stuff around, you don't need, ask us, we may be able to use it or repurpose it into really cool art work.
We will be setting up the park Tuesday-Thursday if you are coming to the festival and would like to come early to help with set up we could use a few extra hands.
Gate Greeters and Campsite Directors:
We need responsible people to help with the check-in process at the front gate on Friday. We also need people to help organize and direct people to open campsites once they arrive.
A moving truck:
The moving truck rental is a major expense for us. If you have access to a moving truck (large box truck) we need your help. We need to deliver everything (a full load) from Boston to Camp Timber Trails on Tuesday before the event and bring everything back to Boston on the Tuesday after the event.
A Pick up truck:
On the last day of the event (Sunday evening) we need a pick up a few pick up truck to help people on their way out of the camp.
Firewood (from MA)
We need a cord of firewood to help keep everyone warm. The wood must be sourced from MA (this is a state regulation).
This is a community event we expect all participates to "help out" keep the park clean and be sure to clean up after yourselves. Everything you bring in to the park should leave with you.
We will be cleaning up and breaking down the festival on Monday/Tuesday after the event. If you are coming to stargaze and you are able to stay an extra day or two to clean up let us know.
